In an effort to better support the faculty and students using technology to improve teaching and learning at the University of Utah, the Technology Assisted Curriculum Center (TACC) and Instructional Media Services (IMS) have been combined to provide a unified strategic direction in the evolving teaching technology landscape.

Our Mission
Instructional Media Services (IMS) provides support and assistance in the use of Instructional Technology to the faculty, students, and staff of the University of Utah.
Our mission is to provide the campus community with the highest quality of presentation technology, training, and support services in an effective and proactive environment.
Our Services
IMS supports the University through Audiovisual Distribution, Campus Video Services, Media Duplication, and Technical Services. These units provide a wide variety of media production and technical support services including:
- Over-the-phone audiovisual support (801-581-6112)
- Classroom audiovisual support
- Portable audiovisual equipment checkout
- Audiovisual equipment delivery
- Large event audiovisual planning, set-up and support
- Large event overflow solutions
- Video production
- Audio production
- Live/on-demand streaming of classroom and special event content
- Interactive videoconferencing/Distance Education facilitation
- Media duplication, transfers and digital file conversions
- Video and audio facility design and installation
